Duffield a Freelance photographer, also a member of the Alumni graduate programme at the University of Huddersfield. I myself have ad many conversations with Duffield during my time at Huddersfield University of him explaining his reasonings for the images created and his book making process. Its been an experience watching his work develop whilst creating my own and gaining feedback on my work from Thomas.
Duffield explains the relationship of his work to be almost like an infinity symbol of personal practise and commission work.
'The whole house is shaking'
His work 'The whole house is shaking' was created for his final work at BA. The work follows on from his other work focusing on family however furthering his approach by looking into the relationship between his grandad, his dad, his sister and his mother. The foundation of the relationship between himself and his dad shows the journey of how they've become close through creating work built on a foundation of what Duffield called, 'Poppy promises' based around his fathers addiction and how it affected him and his family.
