Vicky Carr a graphic designer who works for the company 'textbook studio'. This company mainly works with students using there studio/platform to display students mainly final year students work as a base for them to succeed and get their work out into the world.
For the past two years Vicky and her team has partnered with the University of Huddersfield photography/arts department creating what's known as an exhibition catalogue. Her mission is to help graduates gain opportunities post university. Textbook studio has a long term client names 'cloudwaterbrew co' who send off lots of work to be printed and photographed for their websites. Vicky and her team feel its important to build work with long term clients so there is a constant workflow. Alongside this Vicky teaches graphic at the University of Salford.
Textbook studio has around 50 studios with 11 people working within the studio environment. For the final year fundraising the catalogue is a great way to earn money whilst printing and exhibiting work to the public creating personal platforms. Alongside this we are also doing a print auction. These are my three prints I am sending off.
Vicky has done many things to help fundraise. In the past herself and her team had made a vending machine style machine of which contained rolled artwork. depending on the selection sometimes it would give you more than one piece of art on a sheet. The customer would pay £25 and gain artwork worth up to £300.
